3 Shoes that I HATE with a Passion......

#1 UGGS
Maybe it annoys me because women wear them for all four seasons....It can be hot as fire, with the sun blazing, but I guranntee you someone will have these on! This is an epedimic and I'm trying to save folks! I just don't get it!!!! I wish these boots would disappear. Hey, I know I'm going to hear some flack from two ladies in particular (Hi Deonne, and Tamika G.) but I'm prepared for war. I need u ladies to do better...lol

#2 Kitten Heels
These irk me to my core! I'm confused! What is the purpose of a kitten heel? If your heel is that tiny, and THAT close to the ground then you mind as well bring it all the way down to a flat! Period! Right?! At least I know my boy C. Barret will appreciate me for bringing this to the forefront. lol

#3 Crocs
Look, unless you are a doctor/nurse one should NOT..I repeat one should NOT wear these out in public! U shouldn't even own them at all, but if you do keep it private! Yes, I'm beyond serious! Shout out to my BFF Meka, my "brother" Jamaal, and my boy Jared, embarrassingly enough they "rep" for Crocs. lol

2 GREAT BOOKS TO READ

My mom, bless her sweet little heart... sends me great books to read every once in awhile. The one she most recently sent has become one of my favorites...it's titled "Dare To Dream"....Then Do It...By: John C. Maxwell. Simply put, this book is inspirational, it encourages, and it offers great quotes from people who are successful.

This next book mom sent to me while I was in college. I cannot express how much this book truly blessed me during my college years....I encourage every young woman to read it. It's " The Kings Daughter" ..Becoming the Woman God Created You to Be... By Diana Hagee. If I'm fortunate enough to have a daughter, this book is one I would pass down to her. Awesome Book! Trust Me.

In My Opinion....

Both, the 70's and the 80's, has influenced the fashion world more than any of the other decades. I love everything about the 70's and the 80's. The colors, the fit, and the style. But, what I love more than anything about the 80's besides jelly shoes, is Madonna. She is one of my best friends (in my head) lol..Since I was child I have always admired her for her seemingly care-free spirit and of course her sense of style. I still believe she is one the best artist to ever grace the music industry, and she will always be known for being a trendsetter/fashion icon. I was listening to her cd the other day and said I had to do a post about her....... Two of my most favorite songs to this day are "Holiday", and "Get into the Groove". Both are just Feel Good Songs...So, I posted the old school videos, in hopes that it makes you all feel what I feel - GOOD! Check out the clothes, hair, and those dance moves...laughing out loud.. I Love it!!

*A comment was posted on youtube under the Holiday video that "this is Aerobic"..I'm crying laughing out loud because I concur...So, guess who is about to learn these steps? ME! Don't judge me.

Everyone knows I hate flat shoes...

but I'm trying to make a change. lol....A couple of weeks ago I hit up my London Chick, Zeze to remind me of what "flat" shoe she suggested for me to try out....and she said "Melissas" by Viviane Westwood. Duh, why didn't I think of that?" This is the reason as to why you need and should keep people who are just as fashion savvy as you are, around! They can remind of what you have forgotten...Right?! ..Thanks ZeZe!

As much as I would love to give you a run down on Westood, I think you would find her website quite interesting....You can read about her history in the fashion industry, as well as view her clothing collections for fall/winter 2011, HERE. My most favorite is the "Anglomania" collection its Pure, Creativity!
Let me say this...you have fashion designers that create these avant garde pieces that the average person can not always understand, or even want to wear.... but with Westwood, her pieces make sense. I get her eye, and her taste for fashion. She channels the past and make's it current.

These are the very first pair of shoes that I saw by Vivianne Westwood last year. Of course I loved them because they are unique.

Not crazy about the small heels...but ALL of her shoes from the Melissa/Anglomania shoe collection are "fire".

Oh Yeah...I was suppose to be looking at flats ...So what do you guys think? Which ones?

Where the heck have I been? Apparently, .M.I.A!! When I saw the collection for babies..I almost fainted...lol..."OH DEAR"....These are just too cute,and darling! I'm about to purchase a pair for my daughter...(my daughter that does not exist..yet!) lol

Sweet Lips

I went to this "industry" party with a friend during the B.E.T awards weekend and while I was doing what I do best...EATING.....and people gazing...my friend noticed and pointed out a girls "interesting lip". At first glance the color on HER seemed “off” but on second glance I realized she had designs on her lips. So now, I'm slightly puzzled ...lol...but even more interested!!! I had to chat with her and see those lips up close. I will admit, initially, I gave her a slight side eye...but then, up close… I thought, wow -this is actually pretty dope!

OK, so what was on her lips? The line is called ... "VIOLENT LIPS" (tattoo for your lips) Here are some of my favorites from their collection.

He is so Fresh... Super Fresh

If you're ever in downtown Los Angeles, near the fashion district and you so happen to see a guy with tatted sleeves, tats on his neck, possibly some chucks on, with a cap flipped up that says "Superfresh" or "Fresh" then that's my friend LaMar...lol.... Not only is he a dear and close friend of mine but he is most defiantly one of those special people in my life. I'm excited to blog about him because he is one of the FEW people who inspires me to be Great. Not only is he talented, creative, hardworking, and a passionate designer and entrepreneur ..He is a true sweetheart, and one of the most respectful guy's I have ever met in my entire life! I'm so serious..But, I have never met anyone on this planet like him. He is a rare jewel.

So what is so special about him other than the things I have mentioned above? Well, Lamar has been in the fashion game for quite some time now...and excitingly enough his 2nd line called "Super Fresh" is doing quite well. I'm raving about those Fendi shades but my MOST favorite style when it comes to sunglasses is AVIATORS!!! The brand that is on the top of my list who creates dope aviators is...CARRERA. No matter how much I try to rock a pair of my other shades..I end up (most times) switching to my Carrera's. I love them that much! YUP!
